About Dodo Bar Or:

Dodo Bar Or is a designer clothing company founded in 2014 by the actress of the same name. The business focuses primarily on wholesale distribution, selling to luxury retailers worldwide, such as Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Ave.


Challenges:

The company's main challenge was consistently updating its website to match the pace of the fashion industry. They wanted a website that would reflect the ever-changing trends and product lines that come and go with each season. This meant they needed easy and complete control over the site and products to update products, collections, layouts, and more on the fly. They also wanted seamless business operations across their physical and online stores. As an ecommerce agency, expanding internationally is one of our favorite goals!


Solutions:

  • We started with the District theme and customized the homepage to give this site a unique feel.
  • Each collection has a "Lookbook" with a backend that allows the team to customize the content and layout of each.
  • The Instagram section has an integrated and seamless "Shop the Look" feature.
  • On the product page, when variants are unavailable, they appear as crossed-out elements so that users can see them but not add them to cart.
  • Using a 3rd party application, we synced product information, price, and stock across stores.


Results

The European website launch on Shopify was very successful. It is still in the pre-marketing stage yet does thousands of Euros of sales each month. We have begun working on a USA market website that will launch in 2021.
