Red Sea is a leading company specializing in unique products for the aquarium and marine life market, serving both private and business customers. The company approached us with a clear vision for a new website tailored precisely to their needs. Their requirements included integrating complex workflows, a customized display structure, and unique B2B sales functionality, including direct-to-customer dropshipping.


Challenges

The main challenge arose because the Shopify platform is primarily designed for B2C sales. In recent years, the platform has been improving its capabilities for B2B brands, but industrial companies selling to businesses need to address unique and complex requirements in various fields. Red Sea sought to integrate customized solutions enabling smart management of collection pages, dynamic pricing, and defined workflows. A decision was made not to include product pages on the website, necessitating significant adjustments to the collection pages to present sub-collections and product families in a user-friendly way. In addition, it was necessary to integrate two separate workflows on the homepage, supplier-to-store, and supplier-to-customer, with customized checkout. The company also required advanced B2B capabilities, such as customized price displays (recommended retail and wholesale prices), “Mix and Match” promotions, and support for dropshipping of aquariums and related accessories. For Red Sea, brand language and aesthetics were highly important, as well as creating an excellent customer experience for their clients.


Solutions

Homepage Structure & Purchase Flow

We developed two separate workflows on the homepage: one for businesses purchasing goods for their stores and another for businesses ordering via dropshipping with direct delivery to their customers. Each workflow features a distinct display of different products at varying prices.

We designed a tailored catalog structure on the collection pages that accommodates sub-collections. Each sub-collection displays sub-product families presented in a clear and user-friendly way.


Product Display & Pricing Structure

We designed a product display tailored to specific requirements, including real-time inventory updates next to each product. The system enables customers to view accurate and updated information about product availability and open a detailed popup for additional product information.

Products display dual pricing: recommended retail price and wholesale price. Additionally, we implemented a “Mix and Match” promotion feature, allowing the company to define discount percentages for collections. The interface dynamically calculates the final price of each product based on the selected discount.


Customized B2B Sidebar

We created an advanced sidebar menu with unique icons designed explicitly for dropshipping and B2B sales. The menu enables intuitive navigation tailored to the complex needs of business customers.


Dedicated Dropshipping Solutions

The website supports unique orders of aquariums and accessories through an advanced dropshipping system specifically adapted to the needs of business clients and their end consumers.
