Tranzila is one of Israel’s oldest and leading payment and clearing companies. Challenges

Tranzila aimed to make its payment services fully accessible to Shopify merchants in Israel, establishing itself as a trusted and recognized payment gateway. However, Shopify requires a very specific technical architecture:

A bi-directional connection between Tranzila’s existing API and Shopify, with the entire payment flow adapted to Shopify’s strict security and compliance standards.
In addition, they required a fully customized checkout page in Hebrew, supporting local payment methods such as Bit, as well as real-time updates of payment and order statuses within the Shopify admin. Managing holds, captures, refunds, and credits- all of which need to be transparent for both the customer and the back-office team.

We built a full integration between Tranzila’s API and Shopify’s checkout architecture.
We created a secure hosted checkout page with a user experience tailored for the local audience.
The app translates Shopify’s payment calls in real-time and returns responses in the required format, ensuring a smooth and transparent flow
Full integration with all payment operations: holds, captures, refunds, and credits, all updated automatically in the Shopify order.

Results

Tranzila is now an active, official payment gateway within Shopify in Israel and worldwide, and they also have an official invoices app in the Shopify App Store.

Store owners can now offer their customers a payment system in Hebrew, with local payment methods familiar to the Israeli market.
The payment process is easy, secure, and transparent for both the end customer and the store’s support team.
Tranzila has opened up a whole new channel to thousands of Shopify stores in Israel and globally, expanding its market without compromising on security and control.
